I have a little over 2 months before I leave and I'm getting rather antsy about a couple of major details. Firstly, my passport just came in and I am now able to send off my visa application packet. Just one problem: I can't seem to get a straight answer on just exactly what that packet needs to look like. Secondly, even with all of the help I've received from others in seeking financial aid, I still need to take out private loans to cover my tuition and any emergency costs. But a financial advisor mislaid a vital piece of this puzzle and I'm now a month behind where I should be on the financial aid front. I guess the moral of the story is to start early...very early. I do have a ray of hope, however--an appointment with the Italian Study Abroad advisor on Tuesday which will hopefully clear up the visa confusion.
Other than these (big) worries, I am so excited I have to keep reminding myself that with the financial aid mess my advisor created, I may not get go. Life would still go on, Italy would still be there. Maybe I'd spend the money I've saved on a new car or keep saving it for a nicer wedding. But in reality, I hope this is just a cliffhanger in an otherwise lovely travel story.

Yes, I know this isn't Florence
